My Teaching Philosophy

I am there for the student.

The student decides their goals, their own approach. I share what I know to the best of my ability - to help the student find their own way.

My goal is to make Riders, not perpetual students... I build confidence in the knowledge, confidence to experiment - Feel, Think, Act.

Anything can be learned!

Timing
Feel
Energy

I'm good at breaking things down,
finding the next possible step to practice,
I like clarity and understanding, I like a solid foundation.

I believe in working with the nature of the horse,
the nature of the student.
It makes the experience flow. There is no need to struggle.

There is a need for deliberate practice,
for showing up.
A need to know what to focus on, what to change.
For feedback and inspiration.

You can be a part of the change to better horsemanship,
better balance, lightness and performance.

Learn it, show others, inspire change.

Proof is in the Horses
(not words)

I love teaching online!

It's a way to keep the costs down and reach many more students. I believe (and students confirm)
virtual coaching is just as effective as being there in person.

We have greater flexibility of scheduling, we can fit in a lesson at the end of the day or early morning for the dedicated riders. Book on a schedule to stay on track, or whenever you want input.

The option of recording the lesson (with Pivo) is a great opportunity for further learning from the video.

We can create a routine to meet goals - whether it's advancing in competition, learning to sit the trot or teaching the horse flying changes... or transforming a grumpy horse into a willing partner.
