What I love about Lou:
I love his quick mind, his sensitivity and strength.
His grace and his presence, the joy he finds in his work.

Lou was a breeding stallion without much handling and came to me in November 2023.
After the winter of ground work, I first rode him in early March 2024. He is in his second year of being ridden now.
We jumped into showing Working Equitation at Level 2 with just 2 months under saddle.
Moved up to L3 few months later.
We had a day of cattle work at the Cross National WE cup and Lou will be quite brilliant at it.
Total of 3 licensed WE shows and 2 schooling shows in 2024. I wasn't there to win, I entered him at the level we were schooling, it was a lot of fun and the horse was amazing.
Lou is trained in the Vertical way of Manuel Oliveira - this means a proud, mobile, strong and happy horse!
He really gives himself to his rider, he's incredible that way, I feel like I can do anything with him.
Lou seems to enjoy going off property and is happy at shows and Working Equitation practices. Great to trailer and tie and handle.
The flying changes are coming well and his balance is improving. We're working towards the Piaffe.
Snaffle or double bridle. He's light to the aids and easy to sit. Riding him always puts me in a great mood.
Lou is a natural jumper and a great trail horse, not a lot of experience, but is very solid for me.
We did a WE schooling show this spring at L5, I was happy with his performance.
Licensed show this August at L5. Few mistakes in the changes, but again, I am thrilled with Lou's progress!
Only second time he's been with cattle and yes, those are goats in the livestock pen in the speed round :)
barefoot, lives outside in a herd, no stallion-like behaviors
day before leaving for Kelowna for a test ride, voiceover video for the buyer
It was too cold that morning to wash the horse!
L5 test attempt. we don't usually mess up ALL the changes... :) still, this is normal at his stage.
